Meet Johnny Parsons III

Johnny Parsons III, the son of Indy Car driver Johnny Parsons, Jr. has developed into a racer in his own right.

At the age of nine, Johnny Parsons III began racing with 1/4 midgets where he learned the thrill of winning and the desire for competition. Throughout his teens, he drove behind the wheel of  go-karts.

While attending Indiana State University, at the age of twenty, he drove his first midget race at Stockton, California. In 1989, he received his B.S. in Mechanical Technology. Continuing toward his racing goals, Johnny III ran his first full sprint car season in 1992.

Johnny comes from a distinguished racing tradition. In 1949, his Grandfather, Johnnie Parsons was named National Driving Champion. He went on to become the winner of the 1950 Indianapolis 500. His Father, Johnny Parsons, Jr. logged two fifth place finishes at Indianapolis.
